Pros
Mostly good people out in the field. That is about it.
Cons
Top level pay in the field is far below the starting pay at most NDT companies. Don't expect more than ten cents per year raise. You will be away from home for 6 months to a year. They will constantly call as soon as you do get home to end your time there. Your family's needs mean nothing to the people in HR. They constantly seek out ways to short you on pay. The people in charge of quality are the very people whom have derailed trains due to their inability to test rail. The company is very anti-employee. The turn over rate is the highest in the industry. You will be shorted on hours. They demand that you give free time to the company to "help them." You'll never see home. Never see your kids or wife. No time at home for Christmas. Forget graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, or the birth of a child. They will deny you any chance of any of that. Nepotism and cronyism is rampant so any chance of advancing goes to family and very close friends of management. As of now, 6 months without getting home and no chance of getting home this year. Be wise, do not apply for work with this company.
