Pros

I was really appreciative of the mission—it aligned so well with my life experience, and the environment there made me feel connected.

Cons

As I've been at Springboard, transparency slowly started to leave the company, as did caring for its employees. It's a shame because the mission brought all of us to Springboard, but what they're starting to become is far away from that. It's become too top-heavy with decisions, to the point where they neglect to ensure middle management has the tools needed for these transitions. Because of all these changes they're trying to make, they've also done it with terrible timing and zero care for its existing employees.

Pros

Benefits and comp are very generous. 11 fed holidays, your birthday, election day and 2 floating PLUS 20 days of vacation - just to name drop a few

Cons

The org is scaling up, which can lead to quick changes and growing pains in policy and process

Pros

Springboard's mission is compelling, and they know how to attract really great talent. I believe that they have a great product that greatly benefits the communities that they work with. The salaries are quite competitive for a non-profit organization and can give people the ability to get ahead a little. The people at Springboard genuinely care about the mission and are actively trying their best to push the mission forward.

Cons

There is very high leadership turnover. In my time there, I've had multiple managers which meant that with each new manager we've been pulled in a different direction. Employees here are often treated like products that are supposed to perform rather than people. There is no move to actually coach, train, and support you in the work unitl it's too late. If you are not a top performer at this company, you are essentially a pariah. In my time there they have taken on more of a cut-throat corporate environment without any of the supports that corporations provide you. Employee morale has been low for months, and they haven't tried to take steps to improve it.
