Pros

1) Sick population that will teach you everything you need to know to be a successful healthcare professional 2) Smaller hospital which means your relationship with your co-workers are a family vibe 3) Minimal micromanaging

Cons

1) Pay is not bad, but it takes some build-up to get to where you want to be 2) No pension 3) Inevitable burn out

Pros

You will learn a lot (but at what cost) Union nurses are strong and united

Cons

Disorganized, missing/broken equipment, rude coworkers with no consequences - work here if you want to be able to yell at your coworkers and patients without any fear, culture of reporting coworkers and other departments hospital-wide, they will walk all over you if you’re a new grad. Also if you’re disabled, they will fire you if you ask for reasonable accommodations so don’t ask for them in your probation period. Wait until after your probation period is up.
