Communication from the agency was inconsistent and misleading. I was given a confirmed start date, then informed my onboarding was “on hold” due to background review. When I questioned it, I was told other engineers received the same delay notice, which later was not accurate, as others had already progressed in onboarding.
Start dates should not be confirmed before background checks are fully finalized. Contractors rely on those dates to make real employment decisions. Vague reassurances and shifting explanations create unnecessary risk and uncertainty.
The process felt reactive rather than organized, and transparency was lacking throughout.
