Pros
- Laundered uniforms which you collect at the beginning of each shift. - Free buffet style breakfast / lunch / dinner - 15 minute break for every hour worked - Competitive hourly rate - Great career progression for anyone who's willing to put in the work - Fast paced work environment - Great for 'people watching'
Cons
- As the casino has a huge employee turnover, the people they hire are from all walks of life. This resulted in working with a lot of strange characters. Staff were untrustworthy - you could not leave something laying around for 2 minutes without it being stolen. My locker was broken into on multiple occasions. - Shocking HR department - Repetitive duties, doing the same thing over and over (Up to 5 times a minute) - Working long hours across all hours of the day with a demand for working night shift. - A very toxic work place, being surrounded by problem gamblers day in and out, also working within a space that is dull and at sometimes lifeless. - Workplace bullying / sexual harassment was accepted and not acted upon by senior management even when addressed
