Pros

Loose work environment. There's food, drink, people who care about the food industry, access to chefs, and most of the time there's toilet paper in the bathroom.

Cons

Non-competitive salary, a general lack of caring toward performing better than the day before, chasing tails, loud arguments, a selfish attitude from upper management, a lack of respect for the people we're supposed to be highlighting. They aren't relevant in so many ways. Just look at the newsletters. Most of the employees seem to have given up but stick around anyways. There's tons more, but I don't think glass door's field can let me type that long.

Pros

First-hand experience working with restaurants pros. Learn a lot very quickly b/c it's a small team and get a LOT exposure to what's going on in the industry. Opportunities to travel and interact with super talented people across the country. Super casual work environment, work from home Fridays, etc.

Cons

Standard small business limitations. Lower pay but more experience. Start-up vibe definitely isn't for everyone. The job is what you make of it. There are tons of opportunities to grow and learn if you take them.

Pros

This could be a really cool job if you had bosses you could respect and treated you well.

Cons

You will be underpaid and over worked- that is a guarantee. The boss pretends to be a “man of the people” but lacks any trust in his employees or flexibility. If your train comes at 6:02 and you need to leave 5 minutes early- it won’t happen. You will be gaslit by management for your basic employee rights, as the boss has never had another job and has NO idea what it’s like to work in New York. Managment is gross, manipulative, and only care about their big paychecks while the rest of their employees don’t make a liveable wage.
