Pros
Great group of interns to work with really kept the pace as upbeat and positive as possible. Getting to work in sports was enjoyable and good experience.
Cons
-Internships day to day tasks do not align with what the job description states tasks will be.
-Interns have to dress as mascots and are repeatedly asked to do “dirty work” that no one else wants to do.
-Interns were never given an opportunity to plan any theme nights for a game, chose on-field games or promotions, or have any say in what the daily schedule would be for the games. All of these would have been good experience in the sports marketing field that were not offered to the interns.
-Interns were repeatedly asked to use broken equipment with no regard for their safety as the crowd's entertainment was more important.
-Company is in desperate need of an HR department, there are consistently inappropriate and sexual remarks made regarding other employees, visiting teams and their staff, and even customers. Full time staff would also consistently drink on the job, on occasion to the point of intoxication.
