Pros

I have worked for SCC for over 19 years and have always thought it was a good company to work for. If I didn't, I would not have worked here so many years. The company is just like all other corporations and businesses that need to be profitable in order to remain a business. If you are passionate about your job, provide recommendations and suggest ideas on how to resolve problems or make things more efficient, you will excel and prosper while working for SCC. I am proof of that as I was hired as a supervisor trainee and have been promoted many times, advancing to being a Director. However, if you are looking for a company that you can go to every day, sit back, relax, do not put forth any effort, and collect a check just because you have showed up for work, please move on and do not waste your time or the company's time. Also, if you cannot adapt to or cannot tolerate change or a fast paced environment, this is not the place for you. As my headline states, you can ignore all reviews prior to Sept. 2018 as this is when the new CEO took over and a new executive team was put into place. All reviews or comments prior to that are irrelevant as the recent changes had a huge positive impact on the company and on the associates. SCC has now become a great company to work for and has a very bright future.

Cons

Since I cannot think of any reasons to not work at SCC, I will list some of the benefits of working at SCC. 1. Higher than Average Compensation for entire South Eastern US region. 2. Best and Most Affordable Health Insurance 3. Flexible Hours 4. Up to 4 weeks’ vacation available 5. New and State of the Art Facilities and Buildings. 6. Lounge and Game Area with TVs, Ping Pong, Foosball, etc. 7. Company Celebrations, Team Building Activities and Awards 8. 401k Match 9. Tuition Reimbursement and Professional Development Training offered. 10. Last but not least is the People, which everyone is very friendly, approachable, willing to help and make you feel like you are part of the family.

Pros

None-you realize within a short time that you made a bad decision.

Cons

Lack of Work-Life Balance: The company culture does not support a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal life, leading to burnout and dissatisfaction among employees. Poor Accountability: Management consistently fails to hold underperforming employees accountable, which places an unfair burden on high-performing team members. No Investment in Employee Development: There is little to no emphasis on career growth, skill development, or training opportunities, leaving employees stagnant in their roles. Compliance Issues: The company knowingly violates state and federal regulations, operating under the assumption that avoiding detection is an acceptable risk. This creates significant ethical and legal concerns. Unequal Workload Distribution: High-performing employees are often expected to compensate for the lack of effort or competence in others, which leads to resentment and decreased morale. Unqualified Decision-Makers: Critical decisions are frequently made by individuals who lack the necessary experience or qualifications, leading to inefficient processes and poor strategic outcomes.
