Pros
Variety and breadth of client base. Terrific benefits - especially the Healthcare and 401K. Kind, fun people - no negative bad apples. Everyone respects each other and gets along well. Encouraged to do your best work. This is not a sweat shop/churn and burn style agency. We leave at 5-5:30pm most days. Late nights and overtime are very rare. Family and personal time is encouraged. Continued education and conferences are also encouraged. Flex hours and flexible working style - if you want to take your laptop and go work at a cafe, that is totally fine. Deadlines are realistic. Budgets allow for creative freedom. The relationship between project managers, designers, and developers allows for accountability and partnership so there is never any finger pointing or trickle-down blame.
Cons
Typical agency hurdles like the occasional tight deadline sprint or small budget that causes you to rush through a job. Not every client is a cake walk. You may see a few high-strung cases that require extra attention and management. This company has seen a lot of change in the past 5 years and so their internal processes fluctuate quite a bit.
