Pros
Stay22 is genuinely a heaven for builders. If you’re someone who wants to take ownership, move fast, and actually shape what you’re working on, this is one of the best environments you can be in. There’s a strong sense of trust across the company - no clocking in or out, no micromanagement. You’re trusted to do great work, and that trust is real, not just something leadership says. The founders and leadership team care deeply - not just about the business, but about the people. They’re present, receptive to ideas, and make a genuine and real effort to recognize contributions. The culture balances intensity and sustainability well. People work hard, but rest is valued. Flexible time off is encouraged and respected. There’s also a strong in-office culture - not forced, but chosen. A large majority of the Montreal team opts to come in daily because they enjoy the environment and the people. Perks are great (2 annual retreats, on-site massages, gym, lunches, regular team events), but honestly, the most rewarding part is the work itself - getting to build and scale something meaningful in a high-trust environment. You can also carve your own path here. Leadership is open, ideas are welcomed, and if you want to grow or try something new, there’s space to do it.
Cons
Things tend to change pretty quickly (con for some, pro for some) as the company grows swiftly, so it’s important to be able to keep pace and stay adaptable as things evolve.
