Pros
You get to offer great products to customers. Friendly colleagues mostly. Discount is always an incentive. Standard hourly pay. Interview was quick and fairly informal.
Cons
One person after another started leaving due to hours. A colleague was never given enough overtime that he needed yet when I was unavailable for overtime the manager was furious. When explaining issues of unavailability for overtime, manager was insensitive and uninterested. You cannot work just your contracted hours, despite other commitments. Was never given a 6 hour shift as manager avoided giving breaks. Never met the area manager and never got trained for knifes. Received very little product training in general unfortunately. Manager had a bad habit for disappearing to do other tasks which wouldn't be a problem if you weren't alone on the shop floor and got to have full product training. Absolute great place to shop with friendly staff but just incredibly stressful and negative experience for me.
