Undesirable Employment Situation - Sales Associate Stock & Trade Design Employee Review

Pros

No night time shifts or travel. Descent pay.

Cons

HR is a joke and management is less than competent. The HR guy received his degree in Human Resources online while on the job and likes to hug female employees and tell them when they resign that he won't have anything to look at in the morning once they are gone. He would rather keep check on the attractive employees than the frequent upper management theft that everyone companywide knows is happening. Sales associates aren't set up for success or trained properly. There are stacks and stacks of the the same old inventory from years ago and the buyer keeps buying the same product over and over that never sells and finally rests in warehouses. Bonuses are promised but rules change during the month so they are unattainable. The sales staff is unappreciated and turnover is frequent. Don't try to get to know your co-workers because they won't be there very long. Hopefully the new RH corporate hires can clean up the mess, but it may be too far gone at this point.

Pros

Nashville S&T Design currently has a great team in place with leadership that is driven and also understanding. Ashley Middlebrooks, gallery leader, has been my favorite boss to date. I have learned so much about myself on both a professional and personal level just by working here. The team truly works together as one unit to carry the weight.

Cons

Working in furniture, some days will require more lifting and manual labor than others. This is not a negative because it comes with the industry, but at least it kept me out of the gym! (coming from the merchandising role, not necessarily sales... though everyone will pitch in).

Pros

The company is growing rapidly and there is great opportunity for advancement. The CEO is dialed in and listens to the team to insure we feel seen and heard. Challenges will always be present but it is how you navigate them.

Cons

Small business navigating big business journey. Learning as we grow.
