Pros

I didn’t fully get how real the progression was until I actually started. There are people in my brand who joined in the last 18 months to 2 years and are already in management, which makes the career path feel legit. It’s not easy to get there, at the end of the day it’s a sales role, so what you put in you get out. You need to be motivated and ready to work hard, but if you are, there’s a real chance to move up quickly. They also brought in a new structure where once you pass probation/hit two deals, you get promoted from Associate to Consultant, which was really cool - they announced I hit that just before the holidays, which was really nice to tell my fam

Cons

There’s a lot to learn early on. Balancing BD with clients and candidates at the same time as working a job, and also adjusting to a full-time role in a mega busy city, can feel like a lot at first. Because you’re doing full 360 from day one and no one starts with no prior rec experience, you have to learn everything from scratch, but looking back on it now it's honestly really cool to see how much I’ve learned and how far you can grow in such a short time

Pros

I didn't get micro managed, had freedom on my desk and was trusted as well. You are expected to work hard and after hours, but this is a given when working for a smaller company in the recruitment world. There is a lot of room to grow and make money, but it is dependent on you and how much you care.

Cons

This is strenuous, repetitive work where many days blur together. You are operating in both a sales role and a recruiting role at the same time. Because you are effectively doing two jobs, hitting weekly and monthly KPIs often feels like a constant burden, leaving you in a permanent state of playing catch-up. Learning and development was subpar, plain and simple. Instead of structured training that actually made people better, many meetings felt immature and unprofessional, more like middle school than a serious business environment. Lastly, favoritism was obvious and damaging. When favoritism is this visible, it erodes trust, kills morale, and directly undermines the long-term success of Storm2.
