Pros
You're able to speak with every department in direct contact to get questions answered and collaboration put into motion. There is the opportunity to connect with various departments so you're able to tighten communication, therefor shorten the turnaround time to get something done. Plans and updates for the company were readily available, if not provided in monthly or weekly announcements. The location of HQ was great, near stores and restaurants right in the city, also with a great view. The work environment felt very "lax" versus what I was used to in the past. Being in a small company offered a lot of professional development as you're able to see directly into the pains and gains of a breathing organization. I learned a ton and wouldn't give any of that back.
Cons
Since it is a smaller company, there are growing pains which are inevitable. Sometimes plans for the year change, and priorities move around, so if I'm being selfish I may be frustrated, but those changes are whats best for the company. I also missed the snack vending machine that was removed since I was probably the only one using it. The cold brew coffee also ran out frequently, but we were above a starbucks which was fine.
