Pros

- The company is transparent about the compensation model. - The HR / Ops teams are very committed to supporting the consultants and they work hard.

Cons

The compensation model could definitely be improved. The person who wrote the review about the "culture of the fall guy" has it right. The atmosphere of gossip, rumors, and backstabbing is a huge drawback and very prevalent, e.g. long-term consultants who have been consistently praised by their clients are suddenly blackballed and cut. Commitments are made and then taken back by people who weren't empowered to make them in the first place. Decisions / assignments are made based on incestuous lines of friendship. There is an unwilingness to invest in people or accounts. Leadership speaks and demonstrates disdain for the consultants. Short-term, shortsighted approach.

Let’s begin with the good stuff. Thank you for acknowledging the strength of our HR and Operations group. We are reminded daily how exceptional these teams are; they deserve every bit of praise they receive here on Glassdoor. As for the less flattering items, every consultant’s individual experience is going to be somewhat unique. And yet, we do not intend to use that as an excuse to ignore your comments. It was established in our values early on that we would be transparent, but also supportive and encouraging. If we drift from that, we lose who we are. Growth often comes with challenges such as these, and we intend to make sure we look inward as much as possible to address if and where change and improvement need to happen. Cons

Eventually owners sold to large tech firm and original organizational culture shifted.

Pros

Entire company is values focused, which I really appreciate. I have always loved the focus on clients and the way the business runs to stay in line with that. I have worked for 4 other consulting firms in my time, including one of the Big 4, and can say there is a difference. I really like that leadership and the company overall put focus on the right things. I consider myself to be a high performer and I think this is a company that rewards high performers. I love my peer group. It is a company where your experience and day to day abilities are really important. Everyone rolls their sleeves up when it comes to the work. I love the work also.

Cons

It is still a small company in a lot of ways. Tools and resources are less than a Big 4 consulting firm or some of the other larger ones. Sometimes you need to be more resourceful or entrepreneurial. I do know they are working on this. Sometimes they let a bad apple through the cracks (I've seen bad or negative attitudes, or sometimes person who's skills are not as advertised). I feel like when this happens that they could deal with it a little more quickly. I wish there were a match on the 401K program, but at the same time the pay is really good so I'm not sure if that is necessarily a con. Sometimes balance is hard with certain clients.
