Pros
Lots of talented and caring coworkers who are a joy to work with
Cons
They reduced their remote work policy from 3 days to 2 days and routinely finds excuses to require employees in the office on supposed remote days. Expressing a preference for remote work is often met with dismissal or negative feedback. For a company that builds tools for remote education, this hypocrisy is staggering. There is a strong perception of favoritism within leadership, particularly involving family members of executives, who appear to receive preferential treatment and promotions. This has had a noticeable impact on morale and the sense of fairness among staff. The engineering leadership style is rigid and, at times, demoralizing. Feedback is often delivered in front of large groups in ways that feel unprofessional and discouraging. Technical decisions can feel arbitrary, driven more by personal preference than by team consensus or best practices, creating unnecessary friction and slowing development.
