Cons
These cons apply primarily to the design/programming departments:
- Creatively stifling
- Profit-driven high-level decision making
- Extreme crunch (6-day weeks for months at a time leading up to release)
- Can often be a highly frustrating work environment in terms of feeling heard and valued
- Management makes the same mistakes repeatedly
- Company communication is often sluggish and inconsistent, especially when it comes to major design and date changes
- Internal meetings/reviews can, and often do, happen very late at night or on weekends and last for hours
