Pros

You get to earn money just for selling notes and study guides to classmates. I already take notes consistently, so it's a win-win! I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to become an EN! It really only takes a few hours of work over the whole semester, and the more time you put in, the more it pays off. As a Campus Mentor, I can say that I've had a great experience and learned a lot about working for a company that is done completely online. They excel at bringing a community feel to the company and stay on top of any questions or issues. Overall, I think StudySoup is providing a great service, they are a great company, and I look forward to helping them grow even more.

Cons

It's still a start-up so I've learned to be patient and understanding that there are glitches and issues to work out. However, the company has a huge drive to help with them and improve the way they do things. You are paid commission for note takers who sign up under you, but there is not other direct compensation for Campus Mentors. They do have raffles and competitions to earn extra money, though, which is a great addition.

Pros

The flexibility in creating study materials and the ability to assist students is highly rewarding. The platform allows SMEs like me to work remotely, which is a major perk. The compensation is fair, and there's a strong sense of community within the team.

Cons

While the work is generally fulfilling, there can be occasional challenges with tight deadlines and the need for high-quality content consistently.
