no 401K for SEs: unlimited PTO means very hard to get vocations SE dept culture is very different from the company culture Pay is 20K/ year less than you can get elsewhere (they will either get someone who is ok to be underpaid or hire from abroad) Unequal pay (people with about the same experience and time in the company get paid drastically different. The person who performs much better gets 20k less than someone who isn't performing well) How did this happen? who knows No growth structure to move to SE 2 etc High intensity deadlines and management isn't always happy about SEs taking 15 min breaks Get ready to hear swearing
