Pros
- Genuine flexible working conditions. - Nice office in Brisbane. - Seems to be a good place to work if you get really excited about dams or are some kind of engineer. - Pay well despite long term employees complaining about pay
Cons
- Terrible management (general managers and above) who have found themselves in positions due to length of tenure or who they know rather than being good at their job. Executives are bogged down in the weeds and that flows down to other managers not performing at level. - It's become acceptable for people to behave badly in the workplace. - Soft skills are not valued whatsoever (related to the point above). - They hire clever people to move the organisation forward, then don't listen to those people and would rather them leave (as someone else said on here) than try to address significant systemic issues in the work place. - Culture survey is pure lip service and box ticking. - Lots of legacy staff who can not think outside their dated processes, it's like talking to a form in human format with a lot of the people. - High churn rate of new staff, easy to see why if you think about the above points. - Terrible onboarding process including collecting of unnecessary personal and medical information - they assume everyone is working at a dam site.
