Pros

The people who work there are mostly good people. My lead was amazing he was constantly overworked and taken advantage of but has remained a good mentor and friend throughout my employment

Cons

Higher ups never take into account your advice or experience. Proper processes and best practices are ignored because head strong people refuse to listen and think they know best. The us vs them culture that has been around in the company for many years and needs to be sorted, you can't just look the other way and pretend it's not happening. The discipline I worked within was barely treated as a discipline despite being one of the most important component of game development. Short on staff in our department yet other departments had 3 or 4 new staff every week. Continuous improvement meetings are held occasionally but anything raised is never really improved or acknowledged. A new one to one system was introduced and goals for myself were set and achieved yet I was still treated as inept and my problems were swept under the rug. I was a contract employee and when I originally joined I was told there was a possibility to made permanent, fast forward a year later and I was told ( not directly ) that I would never be made permanent.

Pros

Interesting games to work on. People are generally great. A good hybrid scheme.

Cons

It's going from bad to worse in terms of trusting leadership. Following layoffs, people already felt low but even after launching a big game, the policies and weak leadership make everything so needlessly stressful. Someone else wrote that this is not a person first company and I have to completely agree. There's next to no consideration for the impact decisions have on people. Crediting is also becoming a stupid issue.

Pros

Great coworkers and team culture, with projects that can be somewhat interesting and engaging.

Cons

Upper management can be really poor at times and workplace politics and cliques made career progression and general collaboration frustrating.
