Pros

Working with young people from different cultures.

Cons

SupportYourApp spends a lot of effort trying to polish its image online with fake or heavily curated reviews on Indeed and Glassdoor. Don’t be fooled — the reality is nothing like what they advertise. The hiring process is misleading from the very beginning. Key details about salaries, benefits, and working conditions are withheld or misrepresented. Employees quickly discover there are no paid contributions, no insurance, and no real worker protection. Salaries are extremely low, and the best example is that management once offered a $15 bonus for covering an entire 8-hour shift. Micromanagement here is on another level. Managers read through your emails, correct punctuation in client communications, and issue penalties for the smallest things. Deductions of $15 for something as trivial as punctuation errors actually happen. Instead of encouraging teamwork, managers created toxic environments where reporting on colleagues was encouraged and people were deliberately set against each other. This constant surveillance and punishment culture creates one of the most toxic environments imaginable. The overall culture is extremely toxic. Reporting coworkers to HR is a daily norm, and management thrives on distrust rather than collaboration. The so-called “managers” (SDMs) are often 25-year-olds with little or no management experience, promoted straight from call center team leader positions. And that makes sense, because at its core, SupportYourApp is nothing more than a giant remote call center disguised as something bigger. Despite marketing itself as a global, US-based company, SupportYourApp is in fact a Ukrainian-run business with an Eastern European workplace culture. Almost all employees come from lower-wage, third-world countries, hired primarily as cheap labor. Leadership is no better: the CEO, Daria Leshchenko, spends most of her time on self-promotion, buzzwords, and PR stunts to maintain a shiny fake image of the company, while ignoring the reality of how employees are treated. On top of that, being a Ukrainian-based company, many managers (who avoided military service and live in constant fear of mobilization) spend 10–12 hours a day at home glued to their computers — and they expect you to mirror that availability. They even schedule pointless “happy hour” calls late on Fridays just to make sure nobody logs off early. These calls consist of people awkwardly sharing what they supposedly “learned this week” and “plan to learn next week.” It’s infantilizing, a complete waste of time, and only adds to the feeling of being trapped in a toxic, micromanaged environment. In short: SupportYourApp is built on cheap labor, lies during the hiring process, micromanagement, and a toxic work culture. The positive reviews online are not the reality. If you value fair pay, transparency, and a healthy workplace, look elsewhere.
