Pros
Swarco is made up of relatively small independent companies that are close knit and generally well managed. Employees enjoy a good sense of job security; and compensation is fair. It has the feel of a family run organization. Work-Life balance is good, benefits are good considering the size of the company, and the company feels stable.
Cons
Although compensation is fair, raises are few and far between. It almost feels like you are living on a fixed income. More troubling is that the parent company seems to be adding staff that adds little if any value at the local level, yet these individuals are asking for more and more information for "analysis" at the corporate level. This feels like the early stages of a successful manufacturing company that has generated a comfortable income for owners, managers, and employees but is now being taken over by financial managers with little practical experience in the trenches.
