Was a great, small boutique agency to work for!.. Back when it was actually a small boutique agency. - Marketing Swift Agency Employee Review

Pros

- Potential opportunities to work on visible brands, including Nike, Adidas or Hot Pockets. - Get the social clout associated with working at a pretentious Portland agency. - Kitchen is usually well-stocked with tea and snacks. - ... Uh, the new building is pretty sweet, I guess.

Cons

- Swift prides itself on its "culture," which—spoilers ahead—largely consists of having a turntable in-house and free lunches on Friday. - The work/life balance was an integral part of their approach when I first started with Swift, but after the merger with POSSIBLE it became clear that Swift was more interested in increasing output at the expense of its employees whilst simultaneously limiting raises and eliminating the (historically offered) holiday bonuses for non-executive employees. - Management touts "opportunities" for movement within Swift. However what they are generally referring to are lateral moves to a different team or position without any increase in compensation—even if it's a more demanding job. - The "feel" of working for Swift is tantamount to corporate culture masquerading as small agency culture—a veil that will be quickly lifted after a short time with the company. That being said, if you don't mind corporate culture, you could go elsewhere and likely get better pay for your work.

Swift Agency Response
8y
We do pride ourselves on our culture, and know that it has to be more than free lunches, turntables and well-stocked cupboards. The bedrock of our culture has always been respect - for each other, our clients, and our lives outside of the office. Industry shifts and changing client needs affect our business and our culture, but we stay true to our core beliefs. Joining with POSSIBLE has provided opportunities to partner with other offices and expand our offerings beyond our core capabilities. We know this kind of growth brings some challenges, and we’ve worked hard to preserve Swift’s independence and unique offerings to employees. Maren Elliott, Chief Talent Officer

Pros

It is impossible to understate the total gems that work at Swift. They also have a great history and culture — and do what they can to foster a strong community.

Cons

Social media content creation can be really grueling, and the corporate red tape is real.

Pros

it used to be a cool mid size agency with fun clients and coworkers

Cons

they laid off most of the og / they left on their own so now it just feels like we are part of a larger corporation that does not care about you at all also the pay is insanely low
