Pros
Good work-life balance. Big comfortable office in a spectacular countryside. Lots of training and travel opportunities. Laid back culture. Great benefits. I had worked in two departments. In the first one it was awful, in the other it was great. The culture and management quality was not consistent across the company.
Cons
The starting salary was above average, but afterwards there was no increase offered. I left after three years of waiting for a promotion. The management tried hard to improve the career opportunities for women, by trial and error with a lot of error. But the good intention was there. Perhaps the biggest issue is the belief, coming from the Swiss mentality, that it's an employment for life and people would be ok with working in the same position, no promotion or raise, for decades. That grows old fast.
