Pros

Work pressure - there are people who do nothing and there are people who do too much. You decide how much you take on. Good facilities - office is very nice and great place. I have worked many people who I look upto and b t ironically all of them work in overseas offices.

Cons

It's filled with insecure manager who don't let juniors outshine them ever. This is more frequent than you think since many managers themselves have no depth in skills or subject matter. Take any location and compare it against the numbers of employees and their titles in Bangalore. Most of them do support work which wouldn't see the light of the day unless there overseas counterparts approve it. However the vice versa is not true. The management protects their own. In multiple years, HR never spoke to me after orientation, not even for an exit interview. My manager kept on looking at some random file while the exit interview was going on. Couldn't even bother to pretend that he is listening. If you try to switch teams, your manager's fragile ego will be hurt and he will send a rather scathing feedback to the team hiring you. It could be a good place but with your precious time and energy in early years, you can achieve much more at other companies such as likes of Digital and Acko

It’s great to hear that the supportive environment and people‑focused culture resonated with you during your time at Swiss Re. We recognize that larger organizations can naturally move a bit slower, we’re continually working to make processes smoother for our employees. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience.

Pros

1. 12% 401k match 2. Amazing co workers in the trenches but this is rapidly changing as people look for the exits.

Cons

1. Management - the new management team has a maximum personal bonus / profit only mindset. Cost cutting reigns. 2. Constant layoffs. No job is safe. 3. Company has offshored many jobs to India and is in a race to move key underwritering, engineering, claims functions to India as well. Overall, it feels more like a private equity gut job than a publicly traded company.
