Pros
They pay well. Great place if you are good at doing what you're told and lack imagination. Ethnically diverse (but check the team speaks your language).
Cons
The mission statement on the badge was completely ignored in my business unit (be brave, strive for version n+1,...). The team I worked with were out of their depth, fairly clueless, and were striving to maintain an "n-1" approach, in a sector where the version "n" (by Cadence) is a fairly easy target. A manager suggested I would be better working at a startup after I told him what needed to be fixed (happy to oblige). Software engineering style is as old as the products - I saw stuff like I used to do in the 80's. Nobody appears to know how to do architecture properly, or how to dig out of a mess. Cross BU cooperation is near nonexistent, and dev engineers don't get to talk to customers.
