Pros

An innovative idea on paper. But it doesn't materialize at all and the product is overly hyped to clients. When clients find out that it's not worth the fees Synoptos charges, they leave. As is the case that is happening right now.

Cons

As stated above. Synoptos uses buzz words as a shield for an actual research product line. I would avoid at all costs. Management will string you along as clients are continuing to leave. Management from top to bottom has little idea what they are doing, and they will throw the ones lowest on the ladder under the bus consistently.

Synoptos Response
8y
Inaccurate review from disgruntled employee who was fired for violating company ethics policy and for poor performance who is now attempting to denigrate the company. Very sad! Read the other reviews from people that work hard and don't try to cheat the company. As noted from other reviews and as is the case each year, Synoptos is growing and expanding its client base by significant double-digit numbers. The technology applications continue to expand, offering increased depth and sophistication unmatched in the market. The company maintains a 90% YOY client retention rate - that wouldn't be possible without exceptional products and service.

Pros

One of the best parts of working for this company is the constant drive to improve and innovate, whether that be the technology we’re building or the analysis techniques we’re honing. At some of the companies I’ve worked, the boss hasn’t even known my name. Here, I’m regularly collaborating with my managers, testing the technology that comes from the tech team, and providing feedback that gets integrated into our final products. My coworkers are spread out around the country—and the globe—and the flexibility offered by telework is an invaluable benefit. And, to be perfectly honest, what we do is just plain cool. I have a great deal of pride in what I do, and how we’re able to serve our clients across a ton of different industries. Not everyone gets to say that their job is making the world a better place, but I really believe at Synoptos we are. Every single day I show up to find a new, challenging and meaningful puzzle to work on. It’s never boring, and I’m constantly learning from some of the smartest people I’ve ever met.

Cons

The lone downside that I’ve run into with telework is that it takes more of a concerted effort to make sure everyone is coordinated well on projects than if you were all together in the same conference room. Most of the time we hit that mark, but occasionally the communication-gap can be tricky.
