Pros

As a government contractor, TCG already supports objectives of national and international importance to the world. According to the owner, the company literally exists to demonstrate how business can be a force for good in the world. And TCG reaches towards that goal every day, in every decision the Executive Team makes, in every contract the company pursues, and every action TCG's teams of experts takes for our clients and their projects. The company has devoted tons of resources to employee happiness (at work, outside of work), and is now one of the 10 top-rated employers in the region according to Great Place to Work. Just as important is TCG's Certified B Corp status, which helps us strive to a better future for the environment, our communities, and our customers. It's inspiring to be part of this mission, and we have confidence in our company ownership's sincerity, steadfastness, and commitment to it and to each of us, its' employees.

Cons

TCG is daring to be different -- "Positively Distinct", if you will! -- and that demands changes to the norms. So if change isn't your thing, don't work for TCG. Daring to be different doesn't always yield success, either, so new employees can expect big victories and occasional setbacks, too. The company helps smooth out the turbulence by relying on Core Values that are truly alive among staff; TCG hires and fires for them. As a larger small company, TCG is going to go through many more changes in the future -- be prepared to enjoy the ups and downs of the ride!

Pros

I worked as a Training Specialist supporting federal training initiatives and had a very positive experience overall. The organization maintained a professional and collaborative environment where leadership was approachable, responsive, and genuinely invested in both customer success and employee support. One of the company’s strengths was its ability to operate effectively within a complex federal environment while maintaining flexibility and strong communication across teams. Employees were trusted to take ownership of their responsibilities, and individuals who demonstrated initiative were often given opportunities to contribute beyond the boundaries of their formal roles. The work was meaningful, team collaboration was strong, and management maintained professionalism during periods of organizational and contractual transition.

Cons

Cons Like many federal contracting environments, long-term stability can sometimes be influenced by contract cycles and government funding timelines. Processes occasionally evolved during active projects, requiring adaptability from staff.
