Pros
Junior employees are exposed to pretty high-level work and strategy, a great boost if you're early in your career. Pretty good benefits, especially for an agency.
Cons
Watched the acquisition of a successful digital marketing agency turn into a complete dumpster fire. Upper management continuously makes poor decisions based on spreadsheet numbers in lieu of actually evaluating the office's needs. Requests for desperately needed new hires or tools/subscriptions are denied in order to pinch pennies on budgets. Senior leadership has no contingency plans, is not willing to invest in its workforce or tools, and does nothing to scale for growth despite the CEO's vision to do so. All too frequently, supervisors/managers/directors quit and their work is piled on to whoever is left in the department, mostly junior employees who receive no promotion or raise. This strategy applies for office leadership too, tasking people to wear too many hats or simply handing office leadership to people who are not fit for the role. The overall atmosphere is lacking in compassion and person-ability. Employees are just a number against US management & finance's profitability spreadsheet while professional development, growth, and an enjoyable workplace are no where on their radar.
