1. Great place to start and raise a family as hours and stress and word demands are low.
2. Some good benefits, such as unlimited sick days, two paid volunteer days to use how you want, and educational scholarships and paid tuition.
3. Pension excellent for long-term employees. Contributions increase over time.
4. Nice office environment. Work stations well designed. Location excellent.
5. Employees treated very well.
6. No pressure if you want to stay in your existing job for your entire career.
Cons
1. Not a good place for the highly motivated or driven as status quo is valued.
2. Compensation adequate as profit doesn't seem to be a key driver.
3. Career opportunities are extremely limited once you hit Supervisor.
4. Strategy is set and not followed.
5. Conflict and silos exist and are not resolved.
6. Supervisors and managers are not highly valued in the organizational structure. Only lip service is paid to their needs.
