Good mission, not a lot of connection to colleagues - Senior Manager TNTP Employee Review

Pros

The organization has a good mission and focuses on supporting students in underserved populations. You feel as if you are doing good work. Good benefits and lots of time off.

Cons

Can feel very isolated as this is remote work and not a lot of company connection time. Getting assigned to projects is a confusing process that you don't have a lot of say over and people get laid off when they are not fully allocated.

Pros

Consulting services are strong and seem to get results and be supportive of students and teachers. Many smart, funny, warm colleagues. Working remotely is ideal for many, very generous holiday/time-off benefits and 7% retirement matching. Birthday, anniversary, holiday gift cards, $400 wellness money.

Cons

When someone leaves, backfills are uncommon and remaining staff absorb the work without additional recognition or pay. It is extremely difficult to be promoted from within.
