Pros
The people are generally smart and kind. Good 401(3)(b) matching (if you contribute 14% they match 7%)
Cons
High turnover and unregulated growth--over last two years, about half of all staff are brand new. Unrealistic expectations. Claim mission driven, but chase the money at the cost of what's best for students. Highly bureaucratic, with executive leadership protected despite mistakes and poor culture and managers who are most loyal to the org (often at the expense of staff and the work) praised and retained. Low pay increases not on pace with inflation, almost never pay out full amount of estimated bonuses, very limited opportunities for growth/promotion. Claim we are mission driven, but often do not authentically partner with communities to learn what they need and are doing to support students.
