DSCI was great... then it went downhill - Product Marketing Manager TPx Communications Employee Review

Pros

Great teammates Good learning and development program Flexibility to work anywhere (UCx is awesome!)

Cons

I was originally hired by DSCI, and for several years it was a truly great place to work. I was surrounded by people who were enthusiastic about their work and got stuff done. Then we were acquired by TelePacific in 2016 (the combined company later rebranded to TPx). They assured us nothing would change, and that they in fact wanted to be more like us. Fast forward to 2019: my local office was a ghost town because all of the management that had been located there either left or were let go, and most of the remaining people started working from home. All but two of my teammates were on the west coast, so I was on conference calls all the time where nothing substantial got done... a far cry from the DSCI days. I went through four managers in three years. The CEO holds weekly "results calls" where he regularly belittles the meeting participants and talks about how crappy things are going. It's no wonder that when I gave my notice, several of my coworkers told me they too were considering leaving. TPx ruined what had been a perfectly good company.

Pros

Remote work is the only reason to work there.

Cons

They are bleeding customers right now, on their 3rd CEO in 3 years. Operations people are running the sales department and are clueless on how to run a sales organization. There are VP's and sales managers that have missed their numbers for years and nothing has been done. Meanwhile they are running the sales organization into the ground with no end in sight.
