Pros
Nice, hard-working coworkers. The occasional office events are appreciated. Pay for certain positions is decent.
Cons
Dysfunction. Disorganization. So much of both here. Extremely poor communication, and absolutely no true people-managers. Employees promoted to a management role are those who have been here awhile, not necessarily those who can manage. There are so many super basic aspects of management and communication that TRC fails with, at least in the Northeast/PPL side. From someone who is not writing this out of pure bitterness, TRC demonstrated through recent layoffs that they do not look to the future, and have no idea how to manage and communicate through such things or help morale in the aftermath. Upper management would be in the office on rare occasion and never met with the team to talk about how everything is going, provide useful updates, get to know the team, etc. As a result, employees have no reason to trust them (no one knows them! they don't know employees and our every-day realities!). Management also proves repeatedly that they are unwilling to invest in efficiency, training, or other useful areas that would help save money in the long run. There is no appreciation or value in technology and most people I worked with were intimidated by it. There is no cohesion between teams, and no sharing of tools or information between the same teams in different offices. The organization is pretty flat, with little room to move up. There is some room to move side to side if you want to explore other interests, but as others have noted on here, there is no clear delineation between the different position levels. It is not clear what level means what, and why certain people move up and others don't, etc. Diversity is non-existent.
