Pros

Retirement benefits and Health, Dental, Vision insurance plans and choice of selection of plans. Annual Leave accrues

Cons

Fortunately at the airport I work at, the passengers are FANTASTIC. Management is the bigger issue from the top down. Opportunities for advancement are almost non-existent. Good luck if you wish to transfer to another government agency as TSA is the red-headed step child of all government agencies. Poor communication between management and subordinates. Wasteful government spending on redundant training. Poor training when new policies are rolled out. The evaluation system is non-existent and the Union is really nothing more than an entity which has little to no say against TSA policies.
