Pros
The environment is more relaxed than a lot of other retail jobs. The employee discount is also 50% on 20 items per month. Management is also good when it comes to prioritizing personal safety during emergencies over sales + product. As well as accommodating for mental/physical health and learning disabilities.
Cons
Company keeps cutting hours, so only the head manager of the store is getting OK hours. No clear communication on promised hourly rates or promotions. The company also promises their version of a Better Help service, but the American code doesn’t work! There are also a lot of small technical issues on their employee portal and in-store POS system that make things harder to do efficiently. For example, the W2 form just isn’t on the website at all. The company also heavily pushes sales/performance numbers. To a point where some stores have score boards showing each staff members numbers.
