Fairness and equity are two things that are very important to Taboola’s leadership team, and it’s a thread that runs through all we do. Because of that, Taboola in the US is in the middle of a soft roll-out of a more formalized Internal Mobility program. The purpose is to give Taboolars opportunities to be considered for open positions, including participating in an interview process, just as any external candidate would. This has allowed employees to move across teams, departments, and even geographies. Just in the past 2 weeks alone we’ve made offers to 4 current employees in the New York office to take new positions on new teams. The goal is to tighten up the process now, and then roll it out globally later this year.
While diversity is something Taboola is focused on improving for 2019, our employee base of over 1,100 is scattered across various geographic territories, and we speak over 30 different languages! But I know that’s not the kind of diversity you’re referring to, and it is a priority for this year.
