Pros
Free food/drinks, SOME staff can be friendly/fun, flexible scheduling,
Cons
It’s STRESSFUL! I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks and had more than 5 breakdowns while I was working there. I knew Taco Bell would be stressful but I’ve never had a job before and I was desperate. Poor management, my manager didn’t care about anything unless it was under her shift. Once she left the door she didn’t care if the store was on fire. No breaks unless you’re a minor or unless you beg. Extremely rude customers, my store never has anything and customers yell at you like you’re the reason why. Staff can be rude and disrespectful behind customers’ backs. Lazy employees purposely don’t make the food correctly. Extremely fast paced especially drive thru which I often worked by myself for. Working here made me want to rip my hair out, technically I did (I cut my hair) cause of stress and came home crying a few nights cause of how stressful everything was, I even started getting into yoga! I never even considered yoga til after working here. I almost had a near heart attack or something one shift cause there’s no breaks and long hours on your feet. Short staffed, I always had to wait for the next person if they were late or if someone called out it was annoying. There was a time I worked for almost 13 freaking hours cause someone called out. There were plenty of times I had to do drive thru AND lobby orders and sometimes minors were on their break and the manager asked her to take orders while she were on her break! That’s illegal! We were always short staffed. Very hectic. I stayed there for almost 2 years because my family and I really needed the money and no other job was hiring. And some days were just better than others. The paycheck (even though the pay was terrible) was what was keeping me going too and the occasional good days and the nice customers but I swear there were times I wanted to scream and just walk out, lol. Very stressful, I’m not even exaggerating. When customers asked me if my store was hiring I would straight up say “you don’t want to work here.”. You do So much for not enough pay..terrible job. I’d recommend this to someone who loves being active and customer service and can deal with stuff like this.
