      Pros

      - People are both incredibly smart and supportive. - We are all united behind a common goal: to change the world of pet food for good. I love the can-do attitude everyone has to bring us closer to this vision. - The pace at which decisions get made and at which projects progress is fantastic. - The work environment itself is brilliant: having dogs around brings a lot of joy. - It feels like a luxury to work in Richmond: whilst a workday is very intense, walking along the river at lunchtime or going for a run in Richmond Park after work is incredibly re-energising.

      Cons

      - There is a strong feedback culture which might not be for everyone. If you're always looking to improve yourself, you'll thrive. - Workdays are intense so if you are looking for a relaxed environment with time carved in for personal admin, this is not the right environment for you. - We are at the scale-up stage so there is a lot to do and you need to be ready to have your fingers in many pies: one minute you might be involved in designing strategy, the next minute you are cleaning up the kitchen microwave. In any case, there is no time to get bored!

      Working for a company offers steady income, benefits, and a built-in team, along with structure and chances to grow your skills and career. On the flip side, you trade away some control over your time and decisions, deal with office politics and bureaucracy, and face limits on flexibility and earning potential. It’s a balance of security and structure versus autonomy and upside.
