Pros
-Generally understanding first line management - Offer opportunities for hybrid or remote work - Offer good benefits and pay in comparison to other engineering job opportunities in the same area
Cons
- Company is very stringent with budgeting and it is very difficult to work done because of it - Not a lot of career growth opportunities, feels that you are stuck where you are - management does not receive overtime during outage (72 hour work weeks) so it is not an attractive position to lower level employees which makes career growth difficult - if you would like to move to a different position within the company you require approval from your current manager. Therefore your own supervisor could be the one to limit your growth within the company
