Pros

Great place to learn how not to lead a team Fantastic opportunity to test your emotional resilience and patience with dysfunction Perfect if your dream job involves being resented for doing actual work Amazing case study if you’re writing a thesis on workplace toxicity

Cons

Structure and accountability are considered threats Speak up? You're "creating drama." Stay silent? You're "not taking initiative." Choose your own adventure. Manager supports you... until someone complains. Then suddenly they “weren’t aware.” Sabotage is subtle but well-practiced. Bonus points if you're new and not in the clique. Colleagues will proudly tell you they’re “here to break you.” Leadership just nods. Expect no onboarding, no backup, and no thanks. Just survive. Or don’t.
