I worked at Tandem Logistics for less than a year. It is easily the worst place I have ever worked at in my career and I regretted it immediately after accepting the job. First off, you are required to work, every 6 weeks or so, pretty much a 24 hour day by being on-call. This may be OK for some people, not for me. You are not paid for this time, as you have a "salary" which was VERY low. You are required to work through lunch sometimes, as well as working well past your scheduled time if loads are not booked. I was micromanaged the whole time and management was not very nice to their employees, including constantly monitoring you to a fault. I easily made 100 calls a day and if I went 15 minutes without a call for whatever reason, I was harassed about it. You are TOLD when you can take lunch and like I said above, at least 4-5 times during the times I was there we were told we could not take lunch and while they paid for food for us, at times we could get no break and work 8 plus hours straight, maybe with a 15 minute break to go outside and get some fresh air, if we were lucky. I really hate to not be able to say any positives about a company, there were at times in which they truly tried to create a positive work environment, but the amount of times I can remember sitting in the shower, dreading going into work is far more than any person should ever have to deal with.
