Pros
I've worked holiday sales shifts for a few years with Coach. I like the handbag quality and the corporate culture -- it's positive and empowering. I like that managers emphasize getting to know the customers, building rapport and understanding their tastes. Bags pretty much sell themselves; most customers come in and leave happy, satisfied. Housekeeping is minimal, just some vacuuming and dusting. Not endless straightening or working late after hours like in clothing retail.
Cons
L.A. store managers are generally cool to work with. The assistant managers can be fussy and impatient however; they seemed short-staffed and liked to dump work on the key holders. Dealing with corporate and admin stuff is often a nightmare because of all the intra-company software. There's a million portals to log into for payroll, HR etc. Somehow they got my Social # wrong on my W2 and it took weeks to get it fixed. When you call Payroll or IT, you get bounced to India a lot.
