Great work experience in retail management because of the amount of responsibility/higher volume of sales compared to others. Target is very innovative with trying new things for the guests and the company is very social media savvy. Job stability. You can rotate to different assignments if you do well. Logistics to Sales Floor. Sales Floor to Human Resources, etc. Target is a family business. Great work culture.
Cons
Work life balance is tough. It's retail. Not good if you don't like being on your feet. Time off is frowned upon during Q4 (October-December). 10 hour work days are expected. 12 hour work days are not uncommon. You will work weekends, but they rotate and you will be off every other weekend. On-Boarding/Training can be a toss up depending on the time/store. Payroll is really limited and creates unnecessary stress.
