Unethical and Disorganized - Recruiter Targeted Talent Employee Review

Pros

- Christmas break off and paid - Start-up so you wear many hats

Cons

- Unethical in their business approach - Don't have much of a product to sell (though they say they do) - it took them nearly a year to pinpoint what their definition of "Diversity" meant when that was their slogan from the start - they asked the entire staff to brainstorm what diversity meant and eventually found the definition in an article - The culture they were trying to create was supposed to be different from other recruitment agencies (i.e. no competing or underhanded tactics to win more on commission) but it was the same as other agencies - managers were holding jobs close to their chest unless they can't find any candidate at all then pass it down the line - They sell HR consulting services but 'drip' the information to the client so that they remain on retainer for longer and the client ends up paying more - The other two "recruitment manager" reviews are by people that have a stake in the company - so of course they're going to be 5 star reviews - They're not entirely sure how to go about consulting on HR (nobody there has the background) and they seem to draw information from other clientele handbooks (i.e. using one client's policies & procedures to advise another client) - Senior management would constantly air out their dirty launder in front of staff in what was essentially an echo-chamber - great morale booster - Also the "CEO" listed on Glassdoor is incorrect. - Their website "Our Team" page shows that they have a huge staff team, but in fact, many of those people don't work there anymore. It's been done on purpose to make their organization seem larger and more diverse than it really is because they actually went through the effort of removing some employees but keeping others

Hello I'm not sure what else I can say except to address each item point by point, and allow people to make their own judgements, about our company and your feedback, I do hope you've found a role that was a better fit and where you could find success, as we all deserve that. - We are bound by a code of ethics in the businesses both Provincially and Nationally and continually strive to help all of our clientele to become compliant though they may not all start off that way. - To be clear we are a professional services firm and are only as strong as the people who so graciously invest their time into us and our clients to help them become better businesses, as for our take on Diversity it has not waivered since day one - We focus on Cognitive Diversity - The way people think - we look beyond visible and non visible identifiers and look to create fit within organizations based on the strengths people have to offer, and how they best compliment the team. - All staff have access to all roles as listed in our ATS/CRM - We are highly collaborative rather than a competitive culture, and look at growth planning for our staff, and hands-on training when requested. - Our SOW's with our clientele are clear, fully transparent and auditable at anytime, we have a timekeeping system that break things down to task level granularity. - We are happy that our staff are leaving positive reviews - it has never been a requirement for staff to leave them and am honored by their feedback. - Our staff and collaborators have been in this business for years and have a community of advisors and colleagues that enable change and growth for some of the worlds top companies. Drawing information from industry best practice and using boilerplate solutions when possible helps to save our clients time and money, though it is not always sufficient and custom solutions are generally required. - We do not have a CEO - We have a Managing Director and Director of Operations that co-lead the firm - Our team includes everyone with an email address from our firm - whether they are in house our contractors we believe they should be included when we reference our team, this make for a great client experience when doing business with us.

Pros

Love working here. The team are all fantastic, professional and collaborative. You get what you put into this job. As a consultant / contractor, I can scale up or scale down how many hours per week I work. In doing so, I get what I put into this job.
