There is no strategy, direction or accountability. Many in senior level management have very few direct reports, but are allowed to enjoy the perks of being an executive. You won't be trained or supported by your manager because they probably don't know what you do. Turnover is very high. They pretend to have succession plans and training opportunities, but in reality they only hire externally and often don't even inform employees of open positions.
