they let us work from home this pandemic

they let us work on site even though we're on the verge of a storm surge and they did not approve my timewarp edit even though its not my fault that I got delayed logging in. Their service fetch me 30 minutes before my shift. I arrive at the office 7 minutes before my shift, nobody told me where we're supposed to be stationed. And when logging in, our profiles needs to be approved through our cellphones since it is linked to it, but the sentinels took a long time to agree to let us bring our phones in the prod floor. Hence, the tardiness and they did not approve the timewarp edit that I submitted where it's their fault on our delay.

Pros

Loved the LXL management chain. Supportive, fun, progress-minded. The company as a whole was okay, but the department I was with made it amazing. Lots of opportunities to develop skills. Absolutely incredible visibility for diversity, which is celebrated and respected without hesitation.

Cons

Very high demand. Can be very challenging to learn how to balance work and breathing room without falling behind. Many other departments were quick to blame the LXL department in front of highly regarded stakeholders for failures that were not of our own. Pay also changes depending on the client you work with. My client was the highest paying client at the time I was employed. The LXLs working for the branch-off of work from my client were paid much more than I due to the intensity of the work. My pay was considered the cap for where I was, and getting a raise that was not just a few pennies was not going to happen. Moving up is possible but limited. Due to this company being a BPO, if the client no longer needs our work, we are liable to be laid off. Employees are not contracted, but TaskUs is contracted to the client. Layoffs are a possibility, be it near or far. I was laid off after 4 years and saw many waves of many sizes laid off while there.
