Pros
1. What a particular research environment needs is freedom of thought to generate new ideas, which is usually not possible everywhere, but here at TCS I-Lab, it was quite easy thanks to less onerous work load of meeting any kinds of deadlines. 2. Flexible timings and no FILO or any other kind of I-card tagging tracking. We are responsible ourselves for our work. 3. More like a college campus beacuse of the large work force in each building. 4. They do take care for overall personality development and not just working like dogs day and night, just if you are interested. 5. Enough holidays. 6. Business trips are often avalable.
Cons
1. Lesser salary, though they seem to be improving, but for coping up with other R&D departments of companies, they need to get better employees in this field, with which comes a higher price too.
