Pros
Interesting work, small team, challenging environment. They company is from Brazil and is relatively new to the USA. They are sponcered by Taurus from Brazil and run a small e-commerce operation that is completely in house. When I had medical and family emergencies they where very understanding and helped out by being very acomodating. I honestly really enjoyed working for Urban Helmets because if the relaxed nature of the brand and because of my team members from Brazil.
Cons
Bad organization and company structure, not reliable, and co depending on Brazil team to make decisions. The CEO from the USA company would constantly shut down deals with contractor and services providers on a whim if he didn't feel like paying anymore. He did this with and Ad Agency right before Black Friday because he didn't want to pay thier commission for sales. And with a 3PL because didn't want to pay for picking and packing and storage fees They didn't pay me then decided they didn't need me or want me anymore. I guess I should have learned from the past how they treated thier contractors. Stop my direct deposit out of no where without talking to me. And started to tell me it was because of money issues. They payed me via Zelle and PayPal transfers for 3 consecutive months. And eventually had me working and didn't pay me for over 30 days and never told me when they would pay me, I had to pull teeth to get paid. And since they closed my ADP account I had no way to access information about my money or taxes. For all I know they stopped paying the IRs my social and medicaid. They offered me a severance package and then took it away because I started asking for it after 30 days. Honestly don't work for these shady people. They have shady business practices and I don't see them getting any better under the current CEO Mauricio Sepulveda. He hires his son to be the only other employee after two years working there they never hired anyone else. You'd think after 2 plus years of working for someone they would respect you enough to communicate with you, but these guys never offered any transparency into the state of affairs and constantly made bad decisions that ultimately made the company struggle and loose money. They promised me a lot and delivered very little of those promises.
